K09: @STLCityFan90: I get that "Brawl in the Family" and "No Such Luck" were shitty episodes with bad writing and worse morals to them, but it's honestly gotten to the point of being boring and pretentious. Although Lincoln using a line like this, but less pretentious sounding, could be funny if it was just a con meant to get his sisters to stop fighting by showing that they love HIM more than any dumb fight they are having.
ArgaiosYellow: @K09:I'll be honest, I wish that sentence were true and he would go away for good. Let them come back later kneeling down and humiliating themselves.
K09: @ArgaiosYellow: If it could be done without defiling the spirit of the show, I'd agree, but the way it's usually presented just comes across as pretentious, and feels like beating a dead horse at this point. Like, Lincoln isn't perfect and has had his own case of jerkish moments where he's knowingly taken advantage of his sisters, but usually? He's the one getting the short end of the stick.
My BIGGEST complaint is for those folks he think he actually DESERVED what happened to him in Brawl in the Family and No Such Luck, or try and use the "it's just a cartoon" excuse. What happened to him in both of those episodes was absolutely disgusting, and saying it's a "cartoon" and it was "exaggerated" doesn't make it any less horrible what happened to him, especially when it tries to act like he was exclusively in the wrong.
